A Day at the Farm

This weekend we took our boys to Kayben Farms in Okotoks. This is the third year in a row we've been; first when Sullivan was not even walking, then with a toddler and newborn and now with two wild boys! If anyone is looking for a fun fall activity to do in Calgary it is worth the drive. We've also gone to the Calgary Corn Maze this year and it was great too. If you want to buy pumpkins or get the classic pumpkin pictures, definitely go to the Corn Maze. If you want to check out animals, Kayben Farms is great.

Living Room Inspiration

 

Our living room is probably the most un-done room in the house. Right now it has a sectional that has seen better days, the TV and a chair. Eventually, the sectional and TV will be moving into the media room in the basement and the living room will become more of a hang out room and less of a TV watching room. Here are a few things I'm thinking for a jumping off point:

 

 

I am still on the hunt for a set of chairs with some sort of pattern to bring a little colour into the space. Here are a few rooms that have been inspiring me lately:

I also am on the look out for a coffee table but think I'll need to choose chairs first before I decide on a shape that will work! There's something about dreaming about a room that's almost better than when it all comes together. Almost.

Vancouver

My beautiful sister graduated from the Interior Design program after 3 years of hard work, no sleep and dedication. I went out to Vancouver for her portfolio show and got to watch her in her element. I am so very proud of the wonderful woman she has become. Not only is she incredibly creative and drop dead gorgeous, she has the kindest heart you will ever find.

The L Family
